Mayor Bass today released the following statement in response to a disturbing video of a fire endangering a dog on Skid Row:
"These allegations are incredibly troubling and the circumstances surrounding this incident will be thoroughly investigated. The City takes allegations of animal cruelty very seriously. The Mayor knows there is more work to be done on Skid Row, and her message is clear: if you abuse or neglect an animal, you will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."
