LOS ANGELES — Mayor Bass today announced tremendous strides to complete temporary repairs and restore power to most homes and businesses in the Pacific Palisades area that are able to safely receive power. LADWP crews continue to complete more complex temporary repairs to continue connecting individual customers to circuits that have been restored.

“LADWP has been working around the clock to restore power to the Palisades area, and their work has paid off,” said Mayor Karen Bass. “Restoring power to customers in areas around the heaviest burned area will continue to be the biggest challenge moving forward, but as we continue to work urgently on recovery efforts, LADWP will continue to meet the needs of this unprecedented disaster.”

As crews continue to restore power to individual homes, they first verify each residential electrical panel to ensure power is restored and once restored, leave a notice for residents to turn on their main circuit at the panel. Some individual restorations may take more time based on the complexity of the repairs which can only be identified once crews temporarily restore power to a circuit. If your home or business remains without power, please first check your circuit breakers. Angelenos are encouraged to call at 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397) to report a power outage. LADWP will assign a crew to follow-up on individual service. Reporting is also available at ladwp.com/outages.

LADWP water crews also continue to make progress on restoring water service in the Pacific Palisades, while also working to restore water quality to the area. If your home or business remains without water service, please call 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397) to report your water outage.  Customers are reminded that a Do Not Drink notice remains in effect for most of Pacific Palisades (Zip Code 90272) and adjacent communities in the LADWP Service Area immediately south of the 90272 zip code that lies north of San Vicente Blvd.

For customers whose homes or businesses were damaged or destroyed in the fire and receive a past-due notice, please disregard it. For assistance with stopping or transferring service, or resolving other account related inquiries, please contact the Customer Contact Center at 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397), where a representative is available to assist you.
