First in L.A.: Mayor Bass Welcomes Dutch Bros Coffee to Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – Today, Mayor Bass welcomed Dutch Bros Coffee to Los Angeles by joining the company for the ribbon cutting of their new location at Exposition Park. This grand opening is a strong signal that L.A. remains open for business and builds upon Mayor Bass’ work to support local businesses, promote investment and create jobs in Los Angeles. “Millions across the country have enjoyed having Dutch Bros in their city – and now Angelenos will feel that joy too,” said Mayor Bass. “I want to thank the Dutch Bros team for recognizing L.A.’s economy, community and future as the ideal city for investment. With the 2028 Games set to kick-off down the street at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum, the City will remain a committed partner in promoting job growth, creating new opportunities and supporting businesses all over Los Angeles.”

With three locations in L.A. County, having the first location within the city limits will introduce Dutch Bros to Los Angeles’ vibrant coffee culture. The company will bring its signature community-driven, people-first culture that has allowed Dutch Bros Coffee to expand across the United States. 

Today’s grand opening represents Mayor Bass’ work to support businesses across Los Angeles and bring new investments to the city:

  • Joined state and local leaders to launch “LA is Open,” a bold recovery campaign to boost Los Angeles’ local economy by increasing business confidence, promoting the tourism industry and supporting local businesses impacted by the January wildfires.

  • Hosted the Sports and Entertainment Procurement Summit, providing 1,600 businesses with support and resources to tap into opportunities for upcoming major global events coming to Los Angeles.

  • Encouraged small businesses to apply for the City Contract Financing Program, helping small business owners secure competitive loans to fund costs associated with fulfilling the new City contract.

  • Celebrated the modernization of Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling and expansion of Banc of California’s footprint Downtown, signaling an ongoing renewal for the Downtown area. 

  • Signed Executive Directive 4 to to urgently identify burdensome processes and fees that impede small business creation, development and growth in Los Angeles.
