City of Los Angeles Secures State Funding for Four Housing Sites with Nearly 200 Units in Permanent and Interim Housing

En Español

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass today announced that four Project Homekey sites have been awarded to the City of Los Angeles and the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles.

“We will continue to collaborate as we urgently confront the homelessness crisis and bring more housing online to every neighborhood across the city,” said Mayor Bass. “Thank you to Governor Newsom and the State Legislature for recognizing this critical need. We will continue our outreach in communities to ensure that we can make this life-saving housing available to as many Angelenos as possible.”

The Homekey Projects in the City of Los Angeles will lead to a total of 176 interim and permanent housing units for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The state’s recent funding announcement also includes three awards for the County of Los Angeles outside of the city limits, which will provide an additional 308 housing units.
