LOS ANGELES – Here’s what Korean American Community leaders are saying about Dominic H. Choi’s appointment as Interim Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department.
“As a Korean-American, I’m so proud of Chief Choi. I hope he will show his maximum capability during his interim term and establish a smooth communication channel between LAPD and the Korean community. I trust he will sufficiently listen to the issues.” said James An, President of the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles.
“We have formed a close relationship with Chief Choi and are providing support. We urge more attention to be paid to serious issues like homelessness and theft. This is an opportunity for Chief Choi to showcase his leadership potential.” said Peter Kim, President of the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles.
“I’m thrilled to see the first Korean LAPD chief. I’m hopeful Chief Choi will emerge as a future leader and make significant strides in his role.” said Christine Chong, President of the Olympic Booster Association.
