City of Los Angeles Opens In-Person Local Assistance Centers Helping Angelenos Recover from Historic Storm

LOS ANGELES – The City of Los Angeles today announced the opening of Local Assistance Centers (LACs) for homeowners, renters and business owners impacted by the early February storms that hit Los Angeles. These centers will be a one-stop shop where Angelenos can ask questions and obtain information regarding services and assistance available from government agencies and local nonprofits. Angelenos should bring appropriate documentation relevant to the impact on property.

“Our recovery began the second the storm started,” said Mayor Bass. “I hope Angelenos join us in getting the word out about these centers so that Angelenos are aware about this important opportunity for assistance.” 

The following Local Assistance Centers will open:

Mid-Valley Senior Center

Thursday, February 15, 2024 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

South Los Angeles Sports Activity Center

Friday, February 16, 2024 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Pan Pacific Senior Center

141 S Gardner St, Los Angeles, CA 90036

For more information on the LACs and additional recovery resources from the storm, please visit emergency.lacity.gov/recovery. To report mudslides or debris in the street, call 311 or submit a request for service with the MyLA311 app. The City will continue to gather information to provide Angelenos with additional assistance as our recovery continues.
